Visualising Fashion in Real Time with Twinmotion

Bridging craftsmanship with immersive digital storytelling to explore new workflows for fashion design and communication.

The Fashion Innovation Agency partnered with Epic Games and designer Taskin Goec to explore how Twinmotion can transform fashion workflows. By merging physical garments with real-time 3D tools, the project demonstrates innovative ways for designers to visualise, adapt, and present collections—unlocking new opportunities for creativity, sustainability, and immersive storytelling.

Using London College of Fashion’s photogrammetry rig, garments were scanned at millimetre accuracy, preserving every detail. These scans, combined with CLO 3D digital garments, were imported into Twinmotion, building a hybrid pipeline that blends craftsmanship with adaptability.

Twinmotion removes technical barriers, enabling designers to focus on creativity. Its intuitive interface, extensive asset libraries, and real-time rendering capabilities allow fashion teams to quickly build immersive environments, experiment with materials, and test ideas. By streamlining complex workflows into a user-friendly platform, Twinmotion makes advanced 3D visualisation accessible to all designers, opening new possibilities for innovation without requiring steep technical expertise or lengthy production processes.

“It could be very valuable for brands that want to create a look book. It allows them to iterate different shots of their project and save them into configurators, so at the end of it they can render the entire look book conveniently.”

“By bringing those digital assets into Twinmotion from CLO 3D, you can visualize them at a really high level of photorealism and really get a sense of how that garment looks and behaves within that environment."

Beyond garment visualisation, Twinmotion’s 3D configurators offer the fashion industry powerful opportunities to showcase collections in immersive settings, scale sustainable workflows that reduce waste and make advanced tools accessible to all designers.
This collaboration demonstrates how real-time tools like Twinmotion can reshape the relationship between physical and digital fashion. By combining heritage craft, advanced scanning, and intuitive 3D technology, FIA and Epic Games are driving forward a more sustainable and dynamic future for design storytelling.
