GENvey 2.0 AI Short Film
A cinematic fusion of human craftsmanship and generative intelligence reshaping the future of fashion design.
GENvey 2.0 explores how human intuition and machine intelligence converge, blending handcrafted precision with AI-driven experimentation. Conceived as a poetic fashion study, the film reveals how emerging tools expand imagination while keeping human judgment at the center of creation, and demonstrates the collaborative potential shaping tomorrow’s innovative design processes globally.

Exploring authorship, automation, and the evolving creative relationship between designers, datasets, and next-generation generative fashion technologies that continue to transform.
Developed by Aslı İlhan for the Fashion Innovation Agency, GENvey 2.0 uses FashionGen AI Studio, trained on the archive of fashion designer Patrick Garvey, to translate a designer’s visual language into generative couture. While AI supports experimentation, every frame remains rooted in human choice, from prompts to editing. The film reframes authorship, showing how creators can inhabit expanded roles when machines operate as collaborative, human-led partners in the evolving landscape of fashion and digital creativity today.
Human imagination remains the catalyst guiding AI systems toward meaningful fashion innovation and collaborative creative possibility in every design step.
The garments featured in GENvey 2.0 were generated using FashionGen AI Studio, a system built within ComfyUI to preserve and reinterpret a designer’s sensibilities. Trained on Patrick Garvey’s designer archive, it transforms tailoring nuance into machine-assisted design. The project demonstrates how AI can expand craft, but only through intentional, human-directed collaboration that ensures creativity stays rooted in lived experience and vision.
