Reskinning Reality: Game Engine Ready

A real-time evolution of Reskinning Reality, bringing digital humans, digital garments and reconstructed environments together inside Unreal Engine.

Reskinning Reality: AI Enhanced pushed digital likeness further and automated much of the manual 3D workflow, but its outcomes stayed in 2D, across image and video content. Reskinning Reality: Game Engine Ready takes the pipeline into three dimensions. It brings together a volumetrically captured performance, garments simulated in CLO3D and environments built partly from Gaussian splats inside Unreal Engine. The result is a single rendered world where performance, garment and space exist together.

Reskinning Reality: Game Engine Ready

Game Engine Ready moves beyond 2D image-making and into real-time 3D environments where garments and digital humans exist spatially.

The process begins with volumetric capture, which records a real human performance in full 360 degrees. It preserves movement, surface detail and spatial data without traditional mesh mapping or texture baking. That capture is brought into Unreal Engine, where garments built in CLO3D are integrated directly onto the volumetric data. CLO calculates how a fabric drapes, stretches and moves based on its real-world material properties, such as weight, elasticity and texture, so each garment behaves as it would physically. The result is a digital human and a digital garment built together inside the engine, occupying the same rendered space.

Once a digital human and garment exist inside a game engine, they are no longer confined to a single image or film.
Bringing the pipeline into Unreal Engine changes what its outcomes can become. A digital human dressed in simulated garments can be lit, framed and explored from any angle in real time, rather than fixed into a finished render. The same assets can move across gaming, virtual production, interactive showrooms and immersive experiences without being rebuilt for each. For fashion, that means a collection designed digitally can be presented, tested and experienced spatially before a single physical sample exists. Not just a render, an asset ready for any world.
