Teija Eilola introduces fabric innovation into her latest collection with INDUO®

We connected start-up company INDUO® with Finnish designer Teija Eilola, to create her AW17 collection using its patented fabric, which delivers a unique stain repellent technology. The range is available at Matches Fashion stores and Dover Street Market.

INDUO® fabric is manufactured with patented technology and is resistant to stains and perspiration, while preserving the same feel and comfort as any other high-end cotton.  Teija used the innovative fabric to create a few special pieces with enhanced performance. Her signature shirts that are usually hand smocked were made in this unique fabric that doesn’t absorb stains.

Watch the short film we created that presents Teija’s beautiful collection whilst demonstrating the fabrics’ technology:

Teija Eilola, Founder, Designer, TEIJA:
“Working on innovative textiles has always inspired us. We loved the idea of creating a few pieces using this new fabric technology. We are providing our customers with the same couture inspired finishing as always, but with the additional benefit of stain repellency whilst not compromising on the natural feel of a 100% cotton. With our Finnish roots, at TEIJA we value practicality as well as good design. We look forward to experimenting further with new fashion technology”.

Matthew Drinkwater, Head of Fashion Innovation Agency, LCF:
Teija and Induo have collaborated to create a piece of wearable technology that is both beautiful and practical. I’m thrilled that the combination of cutting-edge material innovation and stunning design will be available for consumers very soon.

Pauline Guesné and Sébastien François, Founders, INDUO®
“Working with designers like Teija is a great opportunity for us to showcase our technology and raise awareness of our brand. Designers are great advocates for innovation as they offer customers the latest trends and we love how they each interpret our fabric in new ways. Teija hand-smocked our fabric into beautiful cotton couture with a focus on the stain resistant properties of the material. We look forward to seeing the further use of our fabric in the industry”
